NICK regards the glaring PADDY for a long moment. Then his eyes suddenly grow cold, and deadly.

NICK
No, Paddy, I don’t think you’re funny.   
I think…you're too stupid to live.

PADDY’s mouth drops open in sputtering outrage.

PADDY
What-what—?  What did you say?

PEARL pulls a startled look at NICK, gasps, knowing he has just signed his death warrant.

CHESTER jacks up the shotgun barrel menacingly, drawing a bead on the back of NICK’s head.

PADDY leaps up from the table.

Paddy!  No—!

CHESTER steps forward quickly and FIRES the shotgun—BLAM!

The impact of the blast tears open the surprised PADDY’s chest, knocks him back in the chair, and propels him skidding across the floor, where he crashes into a table stacked with chairs and topples over to the floor.
