NICK indicates, with a nod of his head, the empty chair across the table from PADDY. PADDY gives him a blank look, saying nothing.

NICK pulls out the chair, sits, removes his hat and places it in his lap. He gives PEARL a friendly smile. Her eyes sparkle in acknowledgment.
