DOROTHY stares at the cover, her eyes twinkling, utterly entranced.  Her reverie is abruptly interrupted when—

VIVIAN snatches the magazine from DOROTHY’s English primer.

                        DOROTHY
                 (startled)
        Vivee—!
 
                         VIVIAN
                 (brandishing magazine)
        You call this homework?
 
                        DOROTHY
        Give it back!

She grabs at the magazine.  VIVIAN holds it out of reach with one hand while fending DOROTHY off with the other. 

                        DOROTHY
        Give it back, Vivee!  Now!  I'm not        
        playing with you!
 
                         VIVIAN
        Me neither.  It's mine now.  Losers 
        weepers… 

Keeping her eyes on the road, RUBY scolds the girls in a tight, hushed voice.
