C'mon, Dorothy Jean, you've already
sat through the picture five times.
RUBY
I'm sure Greta will forgive you
this once. Now come along.
DOROTHY
Oh, alright…
She reluctantly follows after RUBY and VIVIAN, glancing back at the screen.
DOROTHY does a spot-on impression of Garbo’s famous line from the movie.
DOROTHY
"Gif me a viskey, ginger ale on the
side, and don't be stingy, baby."
INT. MOVIE THEATER—STAGE. DAY.
A string of star-shaped lights blinks on and off on THE WONDER KIDS “ACT” SIGN. SOUND of an ORGAN bellowing lustily, in full orchestral splendor, the swinging INTRO to “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing).”
DOROTHY and VIVIAN prance onto the stage in time to the music, SINGING, and dancing to WELCOMING APPLAUSE.
And then we see it, at the front of the theater, in all of its magnificent glory. The Leviathan of Sound. The MIGHTY WURLITZER ORGAN, with its gleaming metal pipes
