INT. HOWARD THEATRE—STAGE LEFT AND RIGHT WINGS. DAY.

HAROLD gives DOROTHY a huge grin, and winks, before turning back to the stage.

DOROTHY frowns.  HAROLD’s “wink” is a sudden wake-up call to her.  What was she thinking?  She angrily ponders the number of chorus girls he has seduced with a wink. 

                     VOICE (V.O.)
       …sensational Sultans of Tapsicory.

It’s SHOWTIME!  FAYARD and HAROLD assume the “set position” in the opposite wings.  They lower their bodies close to the floor like Olympic sprinters awaiting the crack of the starter’s pistol.
