                         ETTA
                (to HAROLD, gushing)
       Charmed, I'm sure.  I'm Etta Jones.
 
                        HAROLD
       Hi there, Etta.  Jones?  Are you a 
       half-sister?
 
                         ETTA
       Yeah—the better half.
 
                        VIVIAN
                (abruptly interjects)
       You wish.

HAROLD chuckles then turns to DOROTHY with a smile.

                        HAROLD
       And who might you be?

DOROTHY responds to him in a countrified dialect:

                       DOROTHY
       Why, Ah be's lil ol' Puddin' Tame. 
       If ya ax me a-gin Ah'll tell ya da  
       same.

HAROLD blinks, startled.  He studies her face a moment, then bursts out laughing.  ETTA laughs with him.  Their hearty laughter proves to have a thawing effect on DOROTHY, and, to her own amazement, she begins laughing also.
