       news in one day.
 
             AUNTIE MAMA (V.O. ON PHONE)
       You're going to eat this up with a 
       spoon.  Joe has agreed to give the   
       girls a substantial advance…
 
                         RUBY
                (into phone, smiles)
       I wonder what little birdie gave him 
       that bright idea?
    
             AUNTIE MAMA (V.O. ON PHONE)
       …to purchase new road tour ensembles.

RUBY smiles and shakes her head in wonder, her eyes misting.

       Look out now!  That was certainly 
       music to Dorothy Jean's ears, with 
       her being such a clothes horse and
       loving to shop 'til she drops.
