       one in the middle.

                (challenging HAROLD)
       Why the sudden interest in her?

HAROLD good-humoredly takes umbrage at her tone of voice.

                        HAROLD
       Jeez, Geri, I'm only asking for the 
       girl's name.  Don't make it out to 
       be a federal crime.
 
                         GERI
       It wasn't a federal crime for John 
       Dillinger to ask for directions to 
       the nearest bank, either… and we 
       know how that turned out.    
 
                        HAROLD
       I'm no thief.
 
                         GERI
       Ha!  Says the thief of hearts of   
       numerous chorus girls far and wide.
